Who can join?
Everyone is welcome! You do not need to be affiliated with Caltech to join our book club or attend our events. We love having community members, friends, and non-Caltech folks read with us.

Reading formats
- Weekly books: read together in smaller sections over several meetings.
- Monthly books: read at your own pace, then discuss the full book at the end of the month.
- Term books: books chosen for the whole term.
Weekly books
- Weekly books are chosen by the weekly group.
- The group usually reads about 60 pages per week over 4 to 6 meetings.
Monthly books
- Monthly books are chosen through democratic polls.
- Readers fill out a monthly sign-up form at the start of the month.
- You may be invited to a WhatsApp group chat for coordination.
- Discussions are usually held once the group has finished the book.

Book subsidies
- The club can fund 1 book per person per term.
- Funding is limited, so request a book only if you expect to finish it in time and attend discussion.
